The study shows that Atlanta’s pre-retirement population (ages 55-64) increased 29.8% between 2000 and 2007. As that population starts to retire, Georgia’s overall senior population is expected to increase 40% between 2010 and 2020. Georgia is a great area to retire in so I am not suprised to read this. Lots of amenities and prices are reasonable plus the climate is tolerable as well.
