TikTok Made Me Buy It: Cleaning Products

Being a homeowner means a lot of daily responsibilities, including cleaning. It’s your happy place, after all, and you deserve to have a fresh home to relax in. If you’re on social media (particularly TikTok), you’ve probably seen dozens of products that claim to make the cleaning process incredibly easy. But which ones actually work, and which ones are a total bust?

We’ve taken the guesswork out by finding the most helpful tools that will make cleaning a breeze, no matter the size of your home. Here are 10 cleaning products on TikTok to make your life a bit easier.

The Pink Stuff

This one is pretty widespread on TikTok, and for good reason. Snag a tub or bottle of this pink paste to clean bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and floors. For proof, check out this TikTok that shows it cleaning purple shampoo from the shower effortlessly. The Pink Stuff is made from a non-toxic vegan formula, not tested on animals, and has been around for decades—worth adding to your routine.

Folex Fabric Cleaner

If you’ve got kids, pets, or just clumsy family members, you’re going to want something on hand to clean up spills on couches and carpet. Folex Fabric Cleaner is great at cleaning stains no matter how light the fabric is. With a few simple sprays and a quick wipe-down, your upholstery will be looking good as new.

Watch Raven Elyse (@ravenelysetv) on TikTok use it in action.

Oil Stain Remover

Your kitchen sees a lot of action, so it’s inevitable that something is going to get stained. If you’re seeing oil stains on your stone countertops, it’s time to grab a bottle of StoneTech Stone and Tile Cleaner. This easy-to-use product lifts stains to keep your kitchen sparkling between homecooked meals and social events. See it in action with TikTok user Vanesa Amaro, then be sure to get some yourself.

Handheld Carpet Cleaner

Let’s be honest: Finagling a vacuum cleaner on the stairs is a puzzle none of us enjoy. Full-size vacuums are bulky and awkward, and handhelds aren’t always effective. Do yourself a favor and pick up a mattress cleaner that works on carpet and sofas, too. This nifty tool is lightweight and easy, as shown by TikTok user Daniele (@momthatlovestoclean).

Cordless Foldable Vacuum

For larger carpeted areas, lightweight and cordless vacuums are the way to go. Even better, get one that hinges in the middle. Julianna Christensen on TikTok (@julianna_claire) has high praise for this vacuum that bends to slide under couches and dressers, making it easy to clean up without straining your back.

Watch Julianna’s review, then grab one as soon as you can.

Electric Dustpan

If you don’t feel like whipping out the vacuum for small messes, make sweeping easier and buy an electric dustpan. All you have to do is brush the mess right up to this stationary vacuum and, when it’s full, remove the dust bin and empty it.

Before buying, watch this video from @toponlinefinds on TikTok.

Extendable Shower Cleaner

Cleaning the shower is one of my least favorite chores, in large part because bending over to scrub the floor is pretty uncomfortable. Want to make it easier? Grab a rechargeable shower cleaner with multiple brush heads that make cleaning every part of the bathtub easy.

Watch @toponlinefinds use it in action to decide if it’s right for you.

Wall Mop

Cleaning walls isn’t a chore most people look forward to, but not having scuffs or stains at eye level makes a difference. To make it easier, get an extendable wall mop with a reusable cover. The reach lets you clean from top to bottom, and a slim design makes it easy to store.

Healthier Home (@healthierhomefamily) shows how easy the product is to use (just don’t forget the wall spray!).

Garbage Disposal Cleaner

No one wants their sink to smell like old food, and to prevent that, the garbage disposal will need some freshening up from time to time. These little pods also loosen grime and prevent clogs, and it’s as easy as dropping one in and letting the water run for a few seconds.

TikTok user Aleesha Thomas (@aleesha.thomas) has great things to say about these and other products.

Pet Hair Remover

Tired of trying to get pet hair off your furniture? Me too. Make cleaning your couches quick and easy with a ChomChom roller: It picks up pet hair and gathers it in a small garbage container that you can empty with a single click. Use it on fabric surfaces all over your home.

Check out Alyssa’s (@alyssa.marzke) video to see just how helpful this product is.
