Welcome to Wildhorse Ranch, a new master-planned community in Manor, TX! Built on nearly 1,500 acres of rolling hills and nature trails, Wildhorse Ranch has the Texas country feel while still being only 16 miles from Austin. Construction began in 2018, with a total of more than 1,800 single-family homes and 1,260 multi-family homes planned upon completion.

At the height of construction there was two builders at Wildhorse Ranch offering newly built houses with modern architectural designs and open spaces, all with options for customization.
Brohn Homes
Brohn Homes has been a well-known name in the Texas real estate business since 2002. They’ve earned several awards, including a 2019 Best Product Design Attached For Sale Townhome Units award by the Austin Home Builders Association, due to their commitment to building high quality, spacious homes. Brohn Homes brings 8 floor plans to Wildhorse Ranch residents, ranging from the mid $200s to the low $300s. Take a look at the 2293 floor plan, which has four bedrooms and the option of an extended outdoor space and bay window.
Highland Homes
Founded in 1985, Highland Homes is another household name in the real estate market. With over 3,000 homes built in Texas, Highland Homes is known for its excellent customer service and quality designs. They’re an eight-time winner of People’s Choice Builder of the Year award, amongst several other awards. Highland Homes offer 19 different floor plans, ranging from the late $200s to the early $300s. The Ashwood plan has eight interior customization options, including extended outdoor living, a powder room, and a study.
Amenities in Wildhorse Ranch
Wildhorse Ranch combines easy country living with robust activities. Residents have their pick of multiple hiking and biking trails to explore, as well as the neighborhood fishing pond to see if the fish are biting. Another great way to work up a sweat is to utilize in the community’s fitness center, pools, and golf course.
When you’re ready to unwind, check out the yoga studio for a great way to relax. Families with children will love the splash pads and playgrounds, where children can romp and play to their hearts’ content. Offsite Amenities
Situated just outside of Austin, Wildhorse Ranch is conveniently located near some of Austin’s hot spots. 12 miles to the west will take you to the Domain shopping center, a perfect place to walk, shop, and eat. The Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park offers fishing, boat ramps, and hiking opportunities, all a mere 10 minutes away from the community. A quick jump on 290 will take you to grocery stores and restaurants, like Casa Garcia and Texas Traditional Bar-B-Q.
For those wanting to see sights away from Austin, the historic city of Elgin is 13 miles to the east, and residents can enjoy museums, tours, and the beautiful Texas countryside. Additionally, Austin’s airport is a 15-minute drive away, so traveling to other locations, far and wide, can be accomplished without the stress of a long commute.
Schools
The Texas Education Agency assesses the performance of students in public grade school using the Texas Academic Performance Report, or TAPR (formerly Academic Excellence Indicator System, or AEIS). Scoring districts is as follows:
- A – Exemplary Performance
- B – Recognized Performance
- C – Acceptable Performance
- D – In Need of Improvement
- F – Unacceptable Performance
Wildhorse Ranch students will be zoned to Manor Independent School District, made famous by a visit from President Obama in 2013. Just under 10,000 students are enrolled across 16 campuses. The district has seen noted improvement over the past school year, going from a D ranking to its current B ranking in 2018-2019. Details on specific schools students will be zoned to are provided below.
Elementary students start out at Lagos Elementary School, located at 11817 Murchison Street. Nearly 400 students are enrolled from Pre-K – 5th, with an average of 20 students per classroom. Lagos Elementary received a B ranking on their most recent report card, with noted student achievement in science and mathematics.
Students continue on to Manor Middle School, located at 12900 Gregg Manor Road. 771 students are enrolled as Manor Ponies in grades 6 – 8, with an average of 18 students per classroom. Manor Middle School received an F ranking on its most recent report card, which is consistent with the previous year.
Once middle school is completed, students go right next door to Manor High School, located at 12700 Gregg Manor Road. Nearly 2,000 students are enrolled as Manor Mustangs in grades 9 – 12, with an average of 19 students per classroom. In its most recent report card, Manor High School received a C ranking, which is a 14-point increase from the previous school year.
Students may also attend Manor New Technology Middle School and Manor New Technology High School, but eligibility is determined by lottery only.
