With seven builders offering more than 50 floor plans across multiple neighborhoods, you have plenty of options.   • As one of the builders associated with McGuyer Homebuilders, Coventry Homes has been part of new developments in Texas since 1988. The company is known for its Eco-Smart building protocols, creating energy-efficient homes within environmentally friendly communities, and is a pioneer in smart-home automation that enhances security and comfort for home buyers. Grand Mesa at Crystal Falls offers nine floor plans to choose from, all set within a community that features multiple play areas and pools, plus tennis, volleyball, and disc golf facilities. The four- and five-bedroom homes start in the low $570s and boast media rooms, game rooms, studies, and large garages.
  • The 90-year history of Drees Custom Homes has led to the company winning numerous awards for its distinctive architecture and customer service. Drees uses smart home technology to build homes that are energy-efficient and designed to meet the needs of growing families. In Grand Mesa at Crystal Falls, buyers can choose between eight floor plans with options for three to five bedrooms. Families can enjoy several swimming pools set in surroundings constructed from locally quarried rock. Choices include a Junior Olympic pool for serious swimmers, splash pools for the little ones, and a grotto pool with waterfalls and underwater seating.

Tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and an 18-hole disc golf course also beckon residents outdoors, and local trails encourage nature lovers to explore the beauties of the Hill Country. Nearby, youโ€™ll find a fishing lake well-stocked with bass, catfish, and perch.

Locals often head to downtown Austin to enjoy the cityโ€™s world-famous music scene, and the University of Texas campus provides entertainment via museums, eateries, and live music and theatrical performances.

Closer to home, Crystal Falls residents root for the Houston Astrosโ€™ Triple-A team, which plays at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock; the Round Rock Premium Outlets draw shoppers from the entire Austin area to take advantage of the fabulous bargains at top stores.

Schools

The Crystal Falls neighborhood is in the acclaimed Leander Independent School District, which boasts a 99% graduation rate and a Student Achievement Score of 94%.

Elementary students in Crystal Falls attend one of three schools: Whitestone Elementary, Patricia Knowles Elementary and William J. Winkley Elementary. Whitestone Elementary at 2000 Crystal Falls Parkway is home to just over 780 Wildcats and boasts a student-to-teacher ratio of 13 to one. For the 2018-19 academic year, Whitestone received an overall A on their annual report card.

William J. Winkley, which is located at 2100 Pow Wow, enrolls around 680 students as Wolverines annually. For the 2018-19 academic year, Winkley earned an overall A on their annual report card.

Patricia Knowles Elementary, located at 2101 Cougar Country Drive in Cedar Park, enrolls just under 600 students as Wranglers annually. The campus boasts 11 students to every teacher, and received an overall C on their report card for the 2018-19 academic year.

Students move on to middle school at either Running Brushy or Leander Middle School. Both schools have received B rankings for the 2018-19 academic year. Leander Middle School at 410 Southwest Street is noted for high academic achievement in mathematics and social studies; the school is also in Texasโ€™ top 25% for comparative academic growth as well as for โ€œclosing the gap,โ€ which is a measure of student performance across different populations. Roughly 1,000 students enroll annually as Leander Tigers.

Running Brushy Middle School is located at 2303 Lakeline Boulevard in Cedar Park. The school received an overall B for the 2018-19 academic year, and around 1,200 students enroll as Running Brushy Cougars each year.

From there students progress to Leander High School, located at South Bagdad Road, and serving more than 2,100 students. This acclaimed high school receives an overall A from the Texas Education Agency, as well as an A grade for student achievement. Leander High is an International Baccalaureate school, and most of the students at the school take advantage of the Advanced Placement offerings. Leander Highโ€™s marching band and robotics program regularly win awards and accolades.
