Paloma Lake is a welcoming, charming community in Round Rock, Texas, only 15 miles north of Austin. The master-planned community of Paloma Lake, which features a wealth of amenities, includes a 47-acre lake and a greenbelt trail system that winds its way through more than 200 acres of open space.

Builders

During the construction phase of Paloma Lake, there were three prominent homebuilders that collectively offered over 40 different floor plans to choose from.

M/I Homes

Since 1976, M/I Homes has built more than 100,000 homes. Each energy-efficient home is Whole Home-certified, and Style Smart professionals in the homebuilder’s design centers help clients customize their décor choices to create the perfect home. M/I Homes offered 13 customizable floor plans in Paloma Lakes. Popular amenities include covered back patios, granite countertops, tankless water heaters, and lawn irrigation systems.

Highland Homes

For more than 30 years, Highland Homes has been building their reputation as one of the top builders in the U.S. The company builds more than 3,000 homes a year in Texas, with a continuing commitment to customer satisfaction and quality work. During the construction phase, they offered 15 floor plans that all included several exterior style options. Driving around the neighborhood, you might notice extended outdoor living spaces and three-car garages, as these were just a couple of the popular options available to home buyers.

Wilshire Homes

With roots in Austin and San Antonio, Wilshire Homes works hand-in-hand with communities and buyers to create energy-efficient homes that follow Eco-Smart building practices and offer a wide array of amenities and customization possibilities.

Paloma Lake is designed to be an oasis that lets homeowners live surrounded by nature with all the amenities they could ask for. The stunning 47-acre lake serves as the center of the community, giving families and neighbors a place to gather for relaxation and fun. The well-stocked lake features a dock and a fishing camp, and is surrounded by walking and bicycling trails to let you explore, get your exercise in, and unwind.

A swimming pool and a splash park allow for more water fun, giving youngsters a place to cool down on a warm summer day, and a bird habitat brings nature into the heart of the neighborhood. Two amenity centers and a community center offer playscapes and a clubhouse for meetings and celebrations.

Offsite Amenities

Paloma Lake’s ideal location in the Round Rock area puts homeowners within easy reach of top tier dining, shopping, and entertainment, as well as even more outdoor recreation options.

The Round Rock Premium Outlets are nearby for shopping at reduced prices. During summer, baseball lovers head to Dell Diamond to watch the Houston Astros’ Triple-A team, the Round Rock Express, play. Additional outdoor recreation includes Old Settlers Park, a 570-acre greenspace, and Inner Space Caverns, a beautifully preserved cave that’s home to real prehistoric remains.

Schools for Paloma Lakes Residents

Paloma Lake is in the Round Rock Independent School District, one of the top-performing school districts in Texas. Elementary school children in Paloma Lake attend Linda Herrington Elementary School, which is located within Paloma Lake itself at 2850 Paloma Lake Boulevard. Roughly 900 students are enrolled annually. Herrington ranks in the top 25 percent in the state for academic growth and “closing the gaps,” a measure of student performance.

As children grow older in Paloma Lake, they typically head to Hopewell Middle School. Located at 1535 Gulf Way with approximately 1,000 students annually.

Paloma Lake’s high school is Stony Point High School at 1801 Tiger Trail. Approximately 2,600 students enroll annually as Tigers at this International Baccalaureate, or IB, school. While enrolled, students can take advantage of Early College and IB courses to earn credit towards college degrees.
